Literacy.

In Reading we have been doing a shared book about "Suzee Sing Special Spy."
Suzee Sing knows everything when it comes to solving mysteries. BUT... in this mystery she didn't see the clues.

In the course of the investigation, Suzee Sing was interviewed about the case...

Ironkidz

Another Waipahihi School run Ironkidz was run on Sunday 26th February. A lot of wonderful people from the community and the school turned out to help. And of course it was all about the children. Quite a big group from our class took part and posed sportingly for the camera with medals and in their T-Shirts. Well done kidz!

Word Study

Spelling is now called Word Study and is based on the Essential Word lists.

For those who are interested , all the essential words are on the website SPELLING CITY, this allows the kids to practice the essential words as they need to, depending on what list they are working on. More ‘tricky’ words will be added for those who know all of the essential words.  This site has been linked on our blog under Literacy. When everyone has been tested we will send the words home to parents and use as part of our literacy program at school.

Welcome to Room 17 in 2012.
Things are a little bit different this year as we have two teachers - Suzanne Deihl and Sarah Sherriff. Twice the value!!

We have a class of 28 Year 4 children.
Our first major school event was the Triathlon/Duathlon last Friday.
